We are a private safari lodge nestled in the heart of Namibia, and for over 30 years, Omaruru Game Lodge has offered an oasis-like experience. Renowned for its stunning natural beauty and unique wildlife encounters, our lodge provides the perfect blend of tranquillity and adventure.
Africa Up Close
The Omaruru Game Lodge has become renowned for its diverse and unique wildlife and birdlife and is synonymous with comfort and seclusion. OGL is located 245 km from Windhoek and 15 km from Omaruru Town.
Upon arrival, guests will experience a uniquely designed wildlife reserve environment steeped in traditional architecture and stylishly furnished bungalows.
Natural stone paths lead you through the lush palm and sycamore tree surroundings to the waterhole restaurant where guests can witness the beauty of nature as the animals gather around the waterhole, creating unforgettable moments of wonder and awe.
The stone paths also direct guests to the swimming pool area which is a serene oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation.
The Omaruru Game Lodge team strives to provide our guests with a relaxing and inviting atmosphere, whilst our restaurant’s African and European cuisine ensures an extraordinary dining journey.
Our Bungalows
The guest bungalows are situated around the game lodge’s waterhole and are nestled in the shadows of majestic palm and a trees. Each bungalow has a patio where one can enjoy the diverse African wild and birdlife while submerging oneself in the relaxing ambiance of the lodge surroundings. The Omaruru Game Lodge has 21 bungalows which are designed in traditional “rondavel” architecture with encompass circular floor plans and thatched roofs with the buildings kept in the muted colours of the landscape.
We provide our guests with two types of bungalows. The superior bungalow and the standard bungalow.
Superior Rooms
The 5 Superior bungalows are situated around the game lodge’s waterhole and nestled in the shadows of majestic palm trees.
Standard Rooms
The 16 Standard bungalows are situated around the game lodge’s waterhole and nestled in the shadows of majestic palm trees.
