About Us

Thomas Domenig Senior a Swiss architect from Chur with a deep appreciation for animals, fulfilled his childhood dream of starting a Wildlife Reserve and Lodge. After traveling through Africa in search of the perfect location, Thomas and Marianne fell in love with the Namibian landscape and culture and settled in Omaruru. Thomas and Marianne set their sights on developing a Lodge that provided a unique and beautiful experience between humans and animals. Omaruru Game Lodge was born and welcomed its first guests in 1995. OGL is well known for its great atmosphere, green oasis environment, great food, and excellent service.

The team managing the Omaruru Game Lodge endeavours to provide our guests with the ultimate wildlife experience. The Omaruru Game Lodge consists of loyal and hardworking team members.
